Aerial bombing last week in Kiir Adem in the contested area along the Bahr el-Arab river killed six people and caused hundreds of villagers to flee. Among the more seriously wounded, three were from Darfur and three others from Northern Bahr el Ghazal. The bombing prompted a visit by Governor Paul Malong to Aweil North county, where he met chiefs and addressed the community in Gok Machar.
