A three-day peace and reconciliation conference between the Luo tribe of Wau and Dinka of Tonj that kicked off in Roc Roc Dong over the weekend was concluded in Wau on Monday.

The peace conference was attended by several government officials from the two states.

David John Pons, Minister of Information in Wau State, told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that the two sides agreed to allow cattle keepers from neighbouring Tonj to graze their cattle in and around Jur River but not to allow their cattle to enter onto cultivated farmlands.

The minister further said the security situation in and around Wau town is now, saying citizens have started preparing to cultivate.
