Peace conference among Turkana, Karamojong and Toposa kicks off in E Equatoria

A peaceful coexistence conference between the Turkana, Karamojong and Toposa tribes along the border between South Sudan, Uganda and Kenya has kicked off in Kapoeta, according to Deputy Governor Paul Langar of the proposed Namurnyang State.

The conference is being organized by the church in the area. Langar reported to Radio Tamazuj the arrival of a high-level delegation from Uganda and Kenya to Kapoeta town.

He said that the conference will bring 150 participants from the three tribes to participate in strengthening peace and reconciliation in continuation of previous conferences.
