The Administrator of the newly created Amolbut Payam of Abiriu County in Gok State Jok Bol Lat was wounded between Cueibet and Mayath by his in-law on Tuesday this week and taken to Cueibet state hospital for medical care.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the Commissioner of Cueibet County Peter Anyuon Dut confirmed that Jok Bol was ambushed by his in-law on his way back to his county Abiriu after spending a few hours in Cueibet County.

The commissioner added that the security apparatus have been instructed by the state authorities to search for the perpetrator, and if he is found then he will be taken to court for more investigation.

The Administrator of Cueibet state hospital Gabriel Bith told Radio Tamazuj that the victim is getting treatment at the state hospital and will be operated on Wednesday to remove the bullet in his stomach. The medical officer described his situation as critical.

The relatives of the victim are asked to be calm and wait for the government to take measures.
