Paul Malong Awan, chief of general staff of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), has released a statement through wife, Ajok Wol, expressing his gratitude to his supporters and the general public for extending him concern and wishing him well in the hospital bed.
Ajok said her husband fell unwell on Monday 19, December, 2016 due to fatigue and exhaustion from busy work schedules, resulting in the rise of his blood sugar level but was now regaining his strength.
“He is much better now. He is not like before.He has improved and we are just waiting for his discharge from the hospital. He has spoken already to the president and the family”, she explained. “There should not be a panic about his health. He is okay”, she added.
