Samuel Angok, Minister of Information in South Sudan’s Ruweng State has denied reports that office furniture and other equipment were taken from the office of Ruweng governor and guest house by unknown people after President Kiir removed Governor Mayol Kur Akuei.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Minister Angok said the allegations that the former governor Mayol Kur had ordered some people to take all the furniture and other equipment from his office and guest house after his removal are baseless.

Angok said yesterday.” Now I am at the guest house, the former governor is still living in the guest house. What have been said are not true, the former governor didn’t take anything even a spoon from the guest house,” said Angok.

He accused Michael Malual who is currently working with the SPLM secretariat in the state of trying to smear the former governor’s reputation.
