Pagan Amum welcomes UN Security Council delegation’s visit to Juba

Pagan Amum Okiech, former Secretary General of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and leader of the SPLM Former Detainees (SPLM-FD) has welcomed the visit by members of the UN Security Council to South Sudan.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, Amum called for an inclusive political dialogue to hand over power to the people of South Sudan, saying the current government is a security threat to South Sudanese citizens.

Amum revealed that they have contacts with regional leader to push the international community to call for a meeting of stakeholders in order to form a technocratic government in South Sudan.
