More than 18,000 pupils in Sudanese West Kordofan State started their final primary school examinations on Saturday.
In a press statement, the state minister of education Hamidan Ali Hamidan, the number of students sitting this year is 18,944 students in 116 examination centres across the state’s 14 localities.
The education official said the current school year was more stable after relative calm since teachers received their compensation, improving performance.
