More than 17,000 in Partit county in Pibor area of South Sudan’s proposed Boma state are facing shortages of food and basic services amid calls from local authorities for help.
Commissioner of Partit county Joseph Gero told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that citizens are living in a dire condition due to shortages of food and basic services.
“The people of Pertit county are in dire need of services from the government and NGOs,” Gero said.
He added that some NGOs have conducted primary survey but did not provide any services until now.
