Over 145 firearms collected from civilians in Marial Bai County

The commissioner of Marial Bai County of South Sudan’s Wau state, Santino Manut said they have collected more than 145 firearms from civilians since the exercise started last month.

The commissioner of Marial Bai County of South Sudan’s Wau state, Santino Manut said they have collected more than 145 firearms from civilians since the exercise started last month.

Commissioner Santino told Radio Tamazuj on Friday that they have handed over 103 pieces of firearms to the state government and the remaining guns will be handed over soon.

He claimed that the general security situation in his county was stable and that they will continue with the disarmament exercise to make sure the area is free of arms.
