The source told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that the patients have occupied four hospital wards and that only one doctor has been on duty for the last two days.

He called on humanitarian health agencies to quickly intervene to save lives of people who are already suffering.

Many health facilities in Khartoum city have received patients with watery diarrhea but the government is silent on the matter. Meanwhile, security agents in Khartoum have summoned Al-Baath newspaper journalist Mohammed Wida and warned him against reporting on the health situation.
