Over 1,200 complete first aid training in Tambura

A total of 1,210 people have graduated after completing first aid training in Tambura State.

Speaking at the graduation event at Tambura Freedom Square on Wednesday, the African Training Center head, Dr. Oliver Hilario said they trained people on how to handle emergency health conditions.

He urged people not to fear the first aiders, who will be deployed in hospitals and other health facilities for more practical trainings.

The State health minister, David Poulino Simbi assured the graduates that they will be considered in the Boma health initiative program, but advised them not to inject anyone outside the health facility.

For his part, the governor of Tambura State, Patrick Raphael Zamoi vowed to support partners carrying out health activities, while calling for more intervention on health, education and agricultural sectors.

Negwa Emilio Vandasi, a representative of the graduates, said with all the knowledge acquired, they are ready to work with communities.
