Orupaap Cultural Foundation in South Sudan is participating in the Creative Music Campus Business Development Workshop in Tanzania.

Orupaap Cultural Foundation in South Sudan is participating in the Creative Music Campus Business Development Workshop in Tanzania.

Funded through an Erasmus Plus Grant by the European Union and the German Goethe-Institut, the Action Music Tanzania invited the management and administration personnel of Orupaap Cultural Foundation to the East African Creative Music Campus Business Development Workshop being held at the Action Music Academy, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The workshop started last week and will conclude on 29 February.

About 30 Directors and Administrators from Music Institutions in eight African countries are attending the workshop. This is the first time for a South Sudanese Cultural Foundation to be part of this training.

Gaining skills to develop business ideas and plans in the area of creative arts is the main focus of the training.

For two years Orupaap Cultural Foundation has been supported by German Goethe-Institut to participate in the Global Music Camp. As a result of the successful participation, Orupaap got invited to the Business Development Workshop as a new partner.

Orupaap Cultural Foundation has been receiving for many years support of the German Embassy to South Sudan for activities like the yearly Nature Arts Festival which brings together traditional musicians and dancers from all over South Sudan, guest musicians from East Africa and Germany.
