Ismael Suleiman, the deputy head of the national alliance of opposition political parties said they are pushing for dissolution of the transitional national parliament at the ongoing peace talks in Addis Ababa.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, Suleiman said all opposition parties want to be represented in the agreement, pointing out that the 2015 peace deal talked about inclusivity.
The South Sudanese politician said that the current parliament is dominated by the ruling SPLM party. “All political parties in the country should decide the future of the country, but not one party,” he said.
Suleiman condemned the ongoing war in various parts of the country despite the peace forum in Addis Ababa. He stressed that the cessation of hostilities should be the priority so the people of South Sudan can return to peace and stability.
