Opinion| Organize call-in radio talk shows for President Kiir across the country

President Salva Kiir has found the right formula for setting up systems and appointments by boldly and fearlessly coming out of condoning and sympathizing with fruitless strategies, to taking his own decision to axe officials and appoint productive leaders to lift his government all over the Country.

This is currently working well for his leadership, though the acceleration of axing is at the speed of light. This courageous decision has been long overdue.

This is a die-die or spade-spade strategy needed for all leaders to apply themselves to deliver, this wise initiative will now remove nepotism, regional boundaries, and selfishness, and will restore unity, equality, and the true spirit of one people and one nation among the people. This is a system I can see working beautifully in the Office of the President.

There is equal representation regionally in the Office of the President and at the top of the leadership level as well, the correct procedure to follow to meet the president established by the Minister for Presidential Affairs, Hon. Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro is a professionally designed administrative procedure and in order.

The next move I would suggest to President Kiir is to now plan and organize radio talk show programs in the country, to be live in the studio, and to take calls to listen to the voices of his people and what they would want to see happening in his government. The president should take the courage to listen to the people and to know and understand what his people expect from his leadership.

Of course, not all the people in the country would be on the same page, they would not all be saying nice words, others would be positive and others would be also negative in their comments. To me, this is normal and there is nothing wrong with the expression of rights, provided that it is done in a right and respective presentation. There should be guidance to the callers on the topic, how to address points, and how to stick to the point from the presenter. This kind of program will help the president to know the feelings of his people and how to fix them accordingly.

This talk show program will help the president to re-strategize his policies and approaches on how to deliver up to the expectations of his people, correct the issues that will be noted during the talk shows, and address the issues immediately. When people see these changes taking place, they will be happy and hopeful for things to change better in the future and believe that the best to come will be obvious.

In the talk show, the president will take note of the needs of the people, set them as his priority in the strategy to deliver for the country, and implement them, and those issues will be ticked off the list. The next talk show will point out another weakness of concern and he will build up on that again and fix the issues, eventually, the people will become his master planners and he will just be implementing the master plan.

If the president embarks on this kind of initiative, it will address the actual issues the people want to see changed. So, what else do the people need? Of course just to enjoy peace, unity, trust, prosperity, and development and the country will move forward without someone looking into the kitchen of the other.

The same talk shows should be conducted in all of the ten states and administrative areas. I do understand that our president could be very busy with strategizing plans for the country. In this case, the task can be assigned to the minister in his office in case he is too occupied to travel or attend to this kind of program. The ministers can carry the discussions to the president and discuss responses to the views and opinions of the concerned citizens.
