One person was killed and three others wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire at a bus near Amer junction along the Juba-Nimule road on Thursday around 11:30 pm.

Speaking to Daily Monitor, Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson, said that the incident occurred on Thursday. He pointed out that one person died on the spot and two others sustained injuries.

He noted that police authorities couldn’t apprehend the perpetrators.
