One man was killed in a revenge attack on the outskirts of Duk Pagak County in South Sudan’s Jonglei State last Thursday, a local official said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj Sunday, James Yien Jal, the county commissioner said the deceased was ambushed while on his way to Ayod area from Bieh State.
“The deceased was ambushed near Kotalo in Ayod South County. He was coming from Gwanchat in Bieh State. He was brought to Duk Pagak for treatment but later died,” he said.
Yien pointed out that the deceased was ambushed by a group revenging the death of their relative in a sectional fight in Bieh state in the past years.
He, however, said no one was arrested in connection to the incident.
