A woman was killed and four students were injured in Ed Daein town of Sudan’s East Darfur state when a rocket propelled grenade fell in their house on Tuesday morning.
Al-Fakhi Abdel Rahaman, the husband of the woman, told Radio Tamazuj that a explosive fell in their house killing his wife and four other students who were coming from al-Fashir town to join summer school classes.
“The shell was fired from far and broke the wall and killed my wife. Four students who were lying outside the room have been injured,” said Abdel Rahaman.
Meanwhile, other sources confirmed that one of the governor’s guards fired bullets at a donkey near the governor’s house thinking it was an enemy, prompting other guards to fire rocket propelled grenades randomly.
Abdel Rahaman said he doesn’t know the source of the grenade which killed his wife.
