A traffic accident in which two motorcyclists collided in Yirol West County in Lakes State left one of them dead and the other injured on Monday.
The acting police spokesperson in Lakes State, Moses Machuoc Bol, told Radio Tamazuj Tuesday that the two riders collided in the Yirol West main market.
“There was a road accident in which two motorcycles were involved which left a rider identified as Machiek Malou dead and the other rider, Laat Akech Mangok, injured in Yirol West County,” he said
According to Machuoc, the accident occurred on Monday evening and both riders were taken to Yirol West County Hospital, and their motorbikes were taken to the traffic police station in Yirol West County for investigation.
“The investigation is ongoing and the case will be taken to court for trial but if the deceased’s family demand that the case be settled out of court, then the police will have no choice but to let them settle,” he said.
