“Before the full resumption of oil production, there will be testing. Our crude oil will be tested which means it will be pumped through the pipelines,” Lily Albino Akol Akol, Deputy Minister of Information said after the cabinet meeting on Friday.

She pointed that the Minister of Petroleum Ezekiel Lol Gakuoth and his Sudanese counterpart will witness the testing of crude oil in Unity region.” It will be pumped from Toma South to Port Sudan through Heglig,”Lily said.

Separately, Lily announced increased alert following fresh cases of Ebola in neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Lily further said Minister of Health Riek Gai Kok said at the cabinet meeting that the ministry had increased the level of alertness and that it will continue to monitor the situation in DRC and inform the nation of any possible danger.

She urged South Sudanese citizens not to panic.” There are no immediate risks that can make us as a country worried,” she said.
