The South Sudanese Minister of Federal Affairs has called on citizens of Jubek State to end conflict over land saying the dispute is triggered by wrong policies at the high levels of administration.

Addressing Rajaf County citizens on Tuesday, Richard K. Mulla said the unfair distribution of state resources among the national, state and county governments, is the main cause of conflict among communities in South Sudan.

Speaking at the same venue, Jubek state governor, Augustine Jadallah Wani, urged the citizens to renounce violence over land dispute.

Jadallah instructed local chiefs to transfer all land-related disputes and cases to the Paramount Chief of Rajaf County who is mandated to settle them.

He added that the state government plans to demarcate and undertake proper land registration in order to provide land for government purposes.
