At least 12 people have been killed and a number of cattle have been raided in an attack by gunmen in Tonj East County of South Sudan’s Warrap state on 24 and 25 of February.
Commissioner of Tonj East County Biar Biar told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that a group of cattle raiders crossed allegedly from Unity State and attacked a cattle camp in his county.
“Gunmen crossed from Unity state from Koch County and attacked a cattle camp in my county. They killed 12 people and raided a number of cattle on 24 and 25 of February,” Biar said.
The commissioner pointed out that the authorities did not manage to arrest the attackers.
