Jackson Ezekiel, Minister of local government in Western Equatoria has confirmed clashes between government and opposition forces on the outskirts of Yambio county, adding that two citizens were killed and three were injured from the government forces.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the minister said opposition forces attacked their positions near Yambio town, prompting government forces to respond.
He claimed that three were killed from the armed opposition side.
Radio Tamazuj was unable to reach the opposition for comment on the news.
