More than 7 community leaders have been arrested after inter-clan clashes between members of the Bul and Dok Nuer in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, several sources said.

The sources told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that the fight between the two communities erupted during a football match in the camp last Thursday.

They pointed out that the incident resulted in the wounding of several people from both sides.

"The security situation in the camp is still tense," one of the sources said.

He confirmed that Kenyan police had contained the situation.
