Nuba refugees at Yida camp still complaining about food shortage

Thousands of refugees from the Nuba Mountains who are currently living in Yida camp in South Sudan’s Unity State are still complaining about shortages of food and basic services.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, several refugees said that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) informed them that it will not provide aid assistance to the Nuba refugees unless they move to Ajuong Thok and Pamir refugee camps.

They pointed out that all organizations decided to stop work in the camp except Samaritan’s Purse organization. The refugees called upon humanitarian organizations to help the needy people in the camp.
