The Global Network of Nuba Mountains Civil Society Organizations has called on the warring parties in Sudan to exert efforts to strike a deal on humanitarian access in the Blue Nile and South Kordofan regions.
Amar Nasir al Nimeiri, a representative of the organization in Egypt, told Radio Tamazuj that the network held a meeting to pass laws, saying the meeting included several NGOs, unions and societies in an attempt to rescue the ongoing deteriorating humanitarian condition in the Nuba Mountains.
Amar urged the Khartoum government and the SPLM-North rebels to exert efforts to reach an agreement on humanitarian issues and allow access to the needy people in Blue Nile, South Kordofan and Darfur states.
