Nuba Mountain towns flee from clashes in South Kordofan

Several citizens from towns in the Nuba Mountains in Karko, Delling locality, South Kordofan, have been displaced by the latest clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army North (SPLA-N).

Several citizens from towns in the Nuba Mountains in Karko, Delling locality, South Kordofan, have been displaced by the latest clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army North (SPLA-N).

Residents from several villages have deserted their farms and homes in the Karko administrative unit, to look for safe refuge in El Funda and Nyima. One of them stressed: “The displaced from the Nuba Mountains are facing a deteriorating humanitarian and health situation.”

Villages in the Karko area have been completely torched by SAF and its militias.
