Authorities in South Sudan’s Northern Upper Nile unveiled a security plan for this year’s agricultural season across the state.

Authorities in South Sudan’s Northern Upper Nile unveiled a security plan for this year’s agricultural season across the state.

Northern Upper Nile’s advisor on security and border relations Kur Chuai Deng told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that they have set a plan to improve farming safely in the state.

Kur further said in a giant step towards achieving security around agricultural schemes, the governor met with his government officials to discuss the security situation and resolved to provide full security during this year’s agricultural season in the state.

However, the state adviser said the security situation is stable. “The alert does not mean that we are not committed to the signed ceasefire, but it is for security of this year’s agricultural season," Deng said.
