Northern Upper Nile parliament withdraws confidence from minister

Members of the Northern Upper Nile state parliament last Wednesday decided to withdraw confidence from Minister of Local Government Chol Choli Arop.

Akuei Kur, head of the parliamentary committee for information, told Radio Tamazuj that assembly decided to withdraw confidence from the minister of local government and law enforcement for violating the constitution.

Kur explained that Minister Chol failed to appear before the parliament after being summoned to answer questions related to his ministry.

Minister Chol could not immediately be reached for comment.
