Northern Upper Nile governor to visit Sudan’s White Nile state

The governor of South Sudan’s Northern Upper Nile state said he plans to pay an official visit to Sudan’s White Nile state soon.

The governor of South Sudan’s Northern Upper Nile state said he plans to pay an official visit to Sudan’s White Nile state soon.

Speaking to the press on Friday, Governor Deng Akuei Kak revealed that his visit aims at strengthening cross-border relations between the two states.

He pointed out that he will also seize the opportunity to congratulate Al-Amin Baraka for his appointment as the new governor of White Nile state.

Akuei called on the people of Northern Upper Nile to co-exist peacefully with their neighboring states.

Early this month, President Salva Kiir instructed Northern Upper Nile governor to improve cross-border relations with Sudan.
