Northern Bahr el Ghazal State government has announced vacancies in the civil service to be filled by local residents, a local official said.

Luol Mawien, State Minister of Public Service said in a press statement yesterday that a ministerial committee has already been formed on the matter.

He disclosed that about 864 vacant positions have been created so that local residents are employed in the government institutions.

Luol also pointed out that those who were previously dismissed after running for the 2010 elections will be reinstated. This is part of a policy formulated by the Caretaker Governor Kuel Aguer Kuel, according to the state minister.
