Northern Bahr el Ghazal’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a man accused of stealing many properties in the state capital Aweil.
He was captured along with numerous allegedly stolen items including generators, solar panels, a computer, and other materials.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday the Director for the Criminal Investigation Department in Aweil town Colonel Philip Madut Tong said they recovered about 100 different items.
“Since a few days ago we were searching for stolen properties but now the CID accomplished a great task and have arrested the suspect and my message to entire public is to take care of their homes.”
The CID director also urged people to avoid buying underpriced goods because they could be stolen.
