Kadugli town in Sudan’s South Kordofan State is facing a shortage of bread at bakeries due to a lack of flour, besides the acute shortage of water supply and persistent power cuts in the town, according to multiple sources.
The sources told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that local residents decried the shortage of bread at the market, saying many people resorted to sorghum while some traders travelled to buy flour from Al Obeid and Dilling towns.
“The situation in Kadugli these days is difficult. There is no bread in the market, but some traders went to buy flour from El Obeid or Dilling. Also, there are shortages of water and electricity,” one of the local residents said.
