A pastor who is previously reported to be worth more than $100 million visited South Sudan’s Vice President James Wani Igga in Juba last week to show his support for him.

David O. Oyedepo, the founder of the ‘Winners’ Chapel’ in Nigeria, also known as Living Faith Church World Wide, went on an ‘apostolic visitation’ to meet South Sudan’s Vice president James Wani Igga and pray for him.

Oyedepo and Wani at their meeting discussed the country’s situation and the vice president reassured the clergyman that the country’s situation will normalize saying the government is working to put things right.

Wani also told the religious leader that despite recent rumors of President Kiir’s death, the president had had no sickness and is doing well.

Oyedepo commented, “It is only love for your country that can make your nation prosper. Until you love your country good things will not happen. Our problem in Africa is illiteracy. South Sudan government should prioritize education for it citizens.”

The clergyman and Wani held a closed-door meeting before the clergy left for Ethiopia.

Forbes magazine in 2011 named Oyedepo the richest pastor in Nigeria saying he is worth US$150 million. He heads a network of churches known as Winners Chapel International.

Wani Igga has previously visited Nigeria to attend preaching and prayer events.
