Ngok Dinka to pay blood money for Misseriya tribesmen killed in Abyei

A transitional leader of the Angok Dinka tribe said they have agreed to blood compensation for the killing of at least 11 Misseriya traders in Abyei over the past two week.

Chief Nyol Pagok Deng told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that his community is committed to paying the compensation which will be guided by the norms and traditions acceptable to both communities.

He further said the move is a sign of goodwill and commitment towards maintaining peace with their neighbouring Misseriya community. Pagot added that the Amieth market has reopened.
