Ngok Dinka, Misseriya peace meeting postponed

A three-day peace conference between Ngok Dinka and Misseriya Arab tribes thatwas scheduled to take place in Aweil town in South Sudan's Northern Bahr al Ghazal state has been postponed.

Stephen Mawen, an employee of the Concordis organization, told Radio Tamazuj that the conference was adjourned due to closure of the Sudan-South Sudan borders during the elections recently.

He predicted the meeting will kick off as soon as the common border opens.

Ngok Dinka chief Bulabek Deng Kuol confirmed that the peace conference has been postponed due to the Sudanese elections.

He added the organization informed them about the matter. He confirmed that the security situation is stable in the disputed area of Abyei between Sudan and South Sudan.
