The newly appointed chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce in Yambio County of Western Equatoria State on Monday vowed to unite all traders within his jurisdiction.

Mr. Victor Danda was appointed early this month by the state trade and industry minister Eddy Ukele Gumasi.

"My priority is to unite all the traders so that all business levels are united, the women and business people, it is my time to unite you all to cooperate in the business," he said.

Danda said he would work with all traders regardless of ethnicity, gender, and nationality.

He also acknowledged that the recently imposed dawn to dusk curfew has reduced cases of insecurity in Yambio Market.

"I would like to take this opportunity to our state government for guaranteeing our goods and shops in the markets by providing security. The level of theft has gone down, probably because of the curfew introduced, we do not have any cases of break-ins," Danda added.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Western Equatoria State Alfred Futuyo Karaba called on all the traders in the county and the state at large to refrain from politics.
