The newly appointed governor of South Sudan’s Wau State, Angelo Taban Biajo publicly apologized to the people of Wau over mistakes he says were committed by previous governments which he was a part of.
Addressing hundreds of Wau residents who turned up for his official reception in Wau on Monday morning, Taban called for unity among citizens for sustainable peace. He also asked for pardon from all that feel they were wronged.
Taban was the former commissioner of Wau County and minister of local government in the previous Western Bahr el Ghazal State government.
