The newly appointed ministers in Tonj state have taken oath of office on Monday, pledging to work hard to deliver services and unite the citizens of the area.
Deng Mayom Akeen, one of the newly appointed ministers, said they have already taken oath and that they started performing their duties.
Last week, the Governor of Tonj State, Akec Tong Aleu, issued an order removing some ministers and appointing others in their positions.
Akec removed Atek Monydhar Atek from the ministry of local government and replaced him with Sabino Makana Akol, who was the minister of physical infrastructure.
The governor also relieved Tabitha Awut Anyar from the ministry of education and social development and replaced her with Deng Mayom Akeen.
Teresa Awien Dal Madut was appointed the new minister of physical infrastructure, and Angelo Deng Magol as the minister of agriculture, forestry and animal resources, replacing James Machok Arol. Lual Longar Adhal was also appointed as minister of health.
