New immigration chief, ambassadors sworn in

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has sworn newly pointed officials whom he appointed recently to assume their duties.

President Kiir on Wednesday presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the new Director General of Immigration, the new Deputy Chairperson of Demobilization and Reintegration Commission and six ambassadors appointed recently to work at the Ministry of Foreign.

Elijah Tut Bikot and Adil Elia Okumundu Sandrai were appointed on May 29 as first grade ambassadors while   James Mawich Bichiok, Lubna Abdelgani Babiker, John Yak Jany and Agok Anyar Madut were appointed second grade ambassadors.

The ceremony was administered by the country’s Chief Justice Chan Reech Madut.
