The ministry of health in South Sudan’s Fashoda State on Wednesday officially opened the only health center in Wijirek County.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Fashoda health minister Lino Pankirias said the health centre will provide the much needed health services for the local population and the surrounding villages.
“They never had a health centre, and the area Yong is a densely populated area with women, children and the elderly, so we thought it wise to have a health center there to provide health services to the people there,” he added.
According to Pankirias, the health centre was constructed with support from IMA World Health organisation.
