Gola Boyoi Gola, the newly appointed chief administrator of Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) on Wednesday issued several decrees forming his government by appointing advisors, ministers, and county commissioners.

The decrees read on the local broadcaster, Pibor 90.3 FM, also saw Alfred Omot Akway named as the deputy chief administrator.

Former Information Minister Abraham Kelang Jiji and Local Government Minister Simon Logocho Gain were reassigned to head the Youth and Sports and Physical Infrastructure ministries, respectively.

The new ministers include; Korok Nyal Lokoryo, local government minister, Oleyo Okuer Nyalus, minister for information and communication, Stephen Konyi Jangkuch, finance minister, Gabriel Amakori Thanko, education minister, Jay Adingora Alual, health minister, Charles Bachak Okouny, agriculture and animal resources minister, and Elizabeth Kuman,  gender, child and social welfare minister.

The chief administrator also appointed four advisors; Beko Konyi Longolyo, Political Affairs Advisor, Baba Panum Monthak, Security Advisor, Nura Stephen Lokine, Gender Affairs Advisor and Hassen Ismail Konyi, Special Advisor.

Boyoi also appointed county commissioners: John Amor Yahya, Pibor County, Loden Poti Zelu, Gumuruk County, Joseph Giro Adding, Verteth County, John Gogol, Lekuangole County, Othow Okoti Abich, Pochalla South County, Gilo Ochan Gilo, Pochalla North County, and Logony Alston Zuagin, Jebel Boma County.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Abraham Kelang, the former GPAA information minister and the newly appointed minister of youth, culture, and sports, said the changes are a welcome move and that the newly appointed officials will take the oath of office on Monday 13 April 2024.
