New government appointments in Eastern Equatoria

Eastern Equatoria State on Monday witnessed the swearing in ceremony of three newly appointed government officials including the State Secretary-General, Deputy State Secretary-General and State Press Secretary.

Eastern Equatoria State on Monday witnessed the swearing in ceremony of three newly appointed government officials including the State Secretary-General, Deputy State Secretary-General and State Press Secretary.

Catholic Radio Network reported that Emmanuel Ociti Ottaviano took oath as Secretary-General, Joseph Oriho Abulamoi took oath as Press Secretary and Kamerino Ochang Daniel as Deputy Secretary General for the state government.

The swearing in ceremony followed the officials’ appointment on September 2 by Governor Louis Lobong Lojore in a decree.

The decree also promoted and confirmed nine other officials to senior positions.

The new appointees include:

  • Benjamin Okwahi Lauro, Director-General for Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development
  • Binyiri Sebit Paul, Director General of Housing and Public Utility
  • Engineer Norman Charles Gideon, Director-General of Transport, Roads and Bridges
  • Reverend Johnson Sebit, Director General of Culture and Social Development
  • Bodato Apai Cholong, Director-General of Animal Resources and Fisheries
  • Margaret Idwa Okuye, Director-General of Information and Telecommunication
  • Augustino Ongee Charles, Deputy Clerk in Eastern Equatoria State Assembly
