Three newly completed development projects were celebrated in Ibba County of Western Equatoria yesterday including an upgrade for a local health clinic, repair of three boreholes and the opening of a new feeder road.

The Local Governance and Services Delivery project (LOGOSEED), a project of the national government together with the local government board in Western Equatoria State, on Thursday handed the projects over to local authorities.

Slash Moses, the state coordinator of LOGOSEED, said the projects cost 173,259 South Sudanese pounds. He thanked the community for their support for the success of the initiative.

The projects included the extension of an outpatient department for Ibba Primary Health Care Clinic. Ibba County Commissioner Nagomoro thanked LOGOSEED and urged let them to continue with the support. She said she dreamed of one day upgrading Ibba PHCU to a full hospital.

LOGOSEED is a project funded by the World Bank, which says on its website that project provides block grants to counties for payam development, promotes community engagement through different organizations, and strengthens institutions.
