The Governor of Yei River State David Lokonga Moses has issued another decree over the weekend appointing thirteen new male county commissioners for the proposed Yei River state.
Last Friday, the governor issued a gubernatorial order splitting the four old counties into thirteen new counties in the state. Yei River State itself is one of 28 controversial states established by presidential decree in place of the 10 constitutional states.
According to Governor David Lokonga Moses, the appointment of the new commissioners is to bring services and development closer to the people at the grass root communities.
The Governor appointed Hon. Bidali Cosmas Wori-Kojo the former Mayor for Yei Municipality as the commissioner Yei River County. Other appointments include:

Hon. Julius Lokonga Eluyuda, Commissioner Nyepo County
Hon. Jacob Toti Finosa Commissioner Lujulo County
Hon. Luka Nyombe David, Commissioner Kajo-Keji County
Hon. Richard Remo Soro, Comissioner Morobo County
Hon.Natalino Lasuba Mana, Commissoner Mugwo County
Hon. Anthony Ande WANI, Commissioner Otogo County
Hon. Martin Mullai Lado, Commissioner Tore County
Hon. Lasu Erasto Ladu, Commissioner Kupera County
Hon. Victor Ware Mulukwat, Commissioner Liwolo County
Hon. Julius Tabule Daniel, Commissioner Kangapo County
Hon. Beneya Jojon Clement, Commissoner Mukaya County”
Governor David Lokonga also dissolved Yei Municipality which was created by the then Central Equatoria State Governor Clement Wani in 2013 and created Yei town council replacing the municipality. Lokonga appointed Hon. Azariah Khamis Noah as the town clerk.
He also removed his advisor on governance, peace and reconciliation Isaac Moro and replaced him with Isaac Joel Minyos.
The governor also removed Martin Mullai, the state coordinator for the coordination office in Juba and replaced him with the South Sudan’s National anthem composer Samuel Mido Dedi.
