A new civil society organization named Spring of Peace has been officially launched in South Sudan’s Yei River state.
The new organization’s executive director Aligo Morris told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the civil society group will address all issues affecting local youth in schools and associations in the state.
“We will be looking into the issue of the national dialogue as we will focus on peace-building because the youth always fall victims of the ongoing circumstances. We want to focus together as youth of Yei state to address our own issues,” said Aligo.
“We are also looking into matters of capacity-building for the youth so that they can be self-reliant and promotion of good governance in the state,” he added.
The executive director called on the state government and donors to extend support the new organization.
