NDM leader Lam Akol to lead his delegation to Juba

Lam Akol Ajawin, the leader of the opposition National Democratic Movement (NDM) will lead a small delegation to attend the peace celebrations in Juba on Wednesday, a senior opposition official said.

NDM’s Secretary for Political Affairs Mahjoub Biel told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the delegation is made up of six officials including their leader, Lam Akol.

“The delegation will be in Juba on Wednesday to attend the peace celebration. Also, the delegation of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) will go to Juba,” Mahjoub said.

On Monday, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-In-Opposition (SPLM-IO) said opposition leader Riek Machar would return to Juba to take part in the nationwide peace celebration on Wednesday.

Last week, South Sudan’s government approved nearly 700 million Pounds for the celebration of the signed peace deal.
