NCP students attack opposition group in Kordofan University

A group of students from Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party (NCP) attacked a coalition of students aligned to opposition parties, wounding 19 students on Tuesday.

The incident took place when the opposition students' collation wanted to submit a list of its nominees for elections in Kordofan University.

Several students told Radio Tamazuj that the ruling party students came in about 11 Land Cruiser vehicles with sticks.

Some of the wounded students were identified as:

· Al Nur Rabie, student of the Medical College, wounded in the head and chest

· Mohamed Hamid Abu Al Gasim, student of  Engineering College, wounded in the head and hands

· Wail Hamid Al Fekki, a student of the College of Sciences, fracture in the leg

· Mohamed Idris El Fekki, a student of the College of Sciences, wounded in the head

· Intisar Naji Musa, a student of the Medical College, wounded in the leg

· Mohamed Al Mujtaba Yahiya, a student of the Medical College, wounded in the head and hand

· Musab Omer Sirian, a student of Natural Resources College, wounded in the head and hand

· Nars Eddin Ibrahim, a student of the Engineering College, wounded in the shoulder, hand and leg
