Clement Manyuat, Director General at the Ministry of Local Government in Northern Bahr al Ghazal State, has threatened tough measures against administrative officers who ignored general transfer orders by the state government in December.
The state official said in a Thursday statement the ministry may suspend those who refuse to be transferred as per the order given by the Caretaker Governor Kuel Aguer Kuel.
“As an administrative officer, you have to be transferred from time to time so that you gain enough experience. The administrative officer is like a soldier, if you disobey any order you can be punished like a soldier,” he said.
Clement said twelve administrative officers were assigned to various areas in the state but some have not obeyed. He urged the administrative officers to serve in their areas in the state.
