Nationality and immigration office opens in Unity State

Authorities in the capital of Unity state officially opened the Nationality and Migration Office in in a ceremony witnessed by a national government delegation, state officials and citizens.

Augustine Madut Riek, the South Sudanese director general for nationality, immigration and passports told Radio Tamazuj from Unity State that last Thursday was the first day of the office.

Riek clarified that the opening was attended by many country and state level stakeholders and was hosted by the Unity state governor Taban Deng Gai.

He stated that the purpose of the office was to facilitate the issuance of identity document to state citizens, in addition to following up and monitoring the foreigners in the country.
